2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, requesting postage, booking services, or sending any items to us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

3. Our Services

We Buy Diamond provides valuation and purchasing services for jewellery, diamonds, watches, precious metals, bullion, and other luxury items via in-person appointments and postal or courier services.

4. Eligibility & Ownership

By using our services you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You are the legal owner of the items or authorised to sell them
• The items are not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to finance or third-party ownership

We reserve the right to refuse transactions where ownership cannot be verified.

5. Provisional Valuations

Any valuation, estimate, or price range provided prior to physical inspection is indicative only, based on the information supplied by you, and subject to change following inspection.

By sending your item to us you acknowledge that:

• We provide provisional estimates in good faith using reasonable care
• Final valuation may be higher or lower
• A binding agreement is formed only when you accept our final offer

You are under no obligation to sell your item if you decline the offer.

6. Sending Items to Us

Items may be sent using:

• A shipping service arranged by We Buy Diamond; or
• A courier arranged independently by you

Where you use your own courier, risk remains with you until the item is received by us.

7. Packaging Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring items are packaged securely using suitable protective materials. Improper packaging may affect claims or liability outcomes.

8. Shipping Insurance & Liability Limit

Where We Buy Diamond provides or arranges shipping services, items are insured up to:

£2,500 or the provisional valuation range previously communicated (where applicable), whichever amount is lower.

This amount represents the maximum liability of We Buy Diamond for any loss, damage, or delay occurring during transit unless additional insurance has been agreed in writing prior to shipment.

Customers sending items exceeding this value do so at their own risk unless alternative insurance arrangements are confirmed in writing.

9. Loss, Damage or Delay in Transit

Shipping services are performed by independent third-party courier providers.

In the event of loss, delay, or damage:

• The customer agrees to allow reasonable time for investigation
• Courier investigations and claims procedures may take between 3 to 9 months
• Resolution cannot be finalised until the courier investigation has concluded

We will assist customers throughout the process where reasonably possible.

10. Resolution Options

Where liability is established within the limits stated above, We Buy Diamond may, at its reasonable discretion, provide one of the following resolutions:

Payment within the applicable liability limit

A replacement item of similar type, specification, and market value (“like-for-like”)

A settlement amount within the provisional valuation range previously communicated

Replacement options depend on reasonable market availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability shall not exceed the insured amount stated above
• We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses
• We do not guarantee full market value compensation unless agreed in writing prior to shipment

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

12. Payment & Transfer of Ownership

If you accept our offer:

• Payment will be issued via the agreed method
• Ownership transfers once sale documentation is completed and payment processed within our normal timeframes
• The transaction becomes final once payment has been issued

We reserve the right to delay payment where compliance or verification checks are required.

13. Declined Offers & Returns

If you decline our offer:

• Items may be returned using insured delivery
• Return shipments are insured up to £2,500 or the provisional valuation range (whichever is lower)
• Return charges may apply where previously communicated

By requesting return, you accept these limits.

We are not responsible for courier delays beyond our control.

14. Customer Agreement by Sending Items

By requesting postage, accepting a shipping label, or sending items to us, you confirm that:

• You have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions
• You understand and accept the insurance limits
• You accept the allocation of risk during transit
• You agree to cooperate with any investigation process

This agreement is formed prior to shipment.

16. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

As our service involves purchasing goods from you, statutory cancellation rights may not apply once payment has been issued.

17. Fraud Prevention & Compliance

We may request identification documents and conduct checks to prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. Information may be shared with relevant authorities where required.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
